What does your “Price Tag” read?

If you feel that you are not being treated with the respect you deserve, or that you are not receiving the love that you give, there may be a problem with how you have marked yourself on your “Price Tag.” What is the value you place on yourself? Your needs and your time? Remember each time you put off something you really want to do because someone else asked you to do something else instead you are marking down your personal value.

Seeing a movie that your friend picked instead of the one you wanted to?
Doing a presentation alone, that your co-worker was supposed to help you with, but backed out of at the last minute?
Being super hero by tacking all the family needs, while everyone else gets to rest and watch television.
Want to go in for a nice spa day and get a massage, but are too busy running errands?
Not speaking up about how you feel simply because you want to keep the peace?
Unable to visit your family on festivals and weddings because your spouse doesn't really want to be there.

They may not seem like much when taken individually, however as each separate incident strikes a mark down in your self worth’s price tag, you gradually lose all value for yourself. You go from being a precious valuable being stored behind glass to being dumped in the “sale” box.

Guess what determines your “Price Tag”?
Self Love!

Loving yourself is not about being conceited or narcissistic. It has got nothing to do with having an excessive sense of self importance or being obsessed with your physical appearance, but it has got everything to do with valuing yourself.

If you hold yourself to other people’s standards of perfection, you are doing yourself a great injustice.  You need to stay authentic to your own self. Live life the way you want to, doing the things that you truly enjoy, rather than doing the things that are popular at the minute.

When you love yourself enough your “Price Tag” gets marked up. You see yourself for the unique, special and absolutely unstoppable force of nature that you really are. There is no doubt about following your own dreams, because in your head they are not dreams but reality waiting to happen.

There is no waiting for the approval of other people. There is no lack of faith in your own abilities to handle just about everything that life throws at you. When you heal your life, you love yourself as much as you truly deserve to be loved. That is when your value on that tag goes up and stays up.

If you are currently having some trouble increasing the value of your personal “Price Tag” you may like to do some mirror work and use these affirmations.

Affirm to yourself I love and approve of myself. I am the perfect reflection of my beautiful soul. My body, mind, and spirit are radiantly beautiful and deserve to be looked after every single day. I accept and embrace my complete self totally.

Heal Your Life by Boosting Your Self Confidence

Are you ready to conquer the world? Not sure? Why don’t you check your self confidence meter! The more you believe in yourself, the better your life will be. The self confidence of a person is a combination of a person’s self efficiency and their self esteem. A problem in either one will result in a number of issues to be resolved. In order to heal your life, you need to have a high level of self confidence. Here are some things that can help you develop and maintain a high level of self confidence no matter what situation you find yourself in.

Prepare Yourself for What You are Likely to Face

It’s always scary when you walk into a new situation. If your inner child has been criticized very often in the past, there is a good chance that you as an adult are cringing from the possibility of being criticized as well. Perhaps you are unwilling to put yourself out there because you are already half convinced by your inner citric that no matter what you do, you are not gonna do a good job.

What’s the way around this self confidence block? Preparation! The more you prepare for all kinds of contingencies that may show up, the better you are likely to deal with them when some of them do actually show up. Don’t leave things to chance, think of what you may need and plan accordingly. You will feel good when you are already prepared for small problems that crop up later.

Catalogue Your Achievements Regularly

Ever so often, we have our eyes set on the final goal. The ultimate achievement is always so far away. However if you decide to actually catalogue your smaller achievements as you traverse the path you have chosen, you will also be able to boost your self confidence along the way. You will pay attention to what you have already managed to achieve instead of being fixated on what you need to do. Celebrating the smaller achievements is a huge motivator for you to stay on the path.

Identify and Understand Your Strengths and Weaknesses

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to try and work in a job which focuses on a weakness. If you are not computer savvy and get stuck in a job where you need to use different features of the computer every day, you are going to get frustrated at every step. You will feel bad about not knowing things that others around you seem to grasp easily and eventually your self confidence will begin to dip. Instead of getting into a bad situation, figure out what your strengths and weaknesses are before you take on a task. It will help you deal with the task easily and at the same time enhance your self esteem on getting a job done easily.

Set Goals that Mean Something Important to You

No two people think alike and so it should not come as a surprise to know that no two people measure success in exactly the same manner. Some people find fame more satisfying than earning money. Others prefer to have power and prestige over being famous. The idea is to find the goal that means the most to you, then set about achieving it. Think about what you enjoy doing and what you want to be the best at. Then work towards making it happen in your life.

Systematic Overhauling of Your Thoughts to Heal Your Life

There are a set of beliefs that you are indoctrinated in as a child. While many of these thoughts have played an important role in making you what you are today, some of them may be barriers to helping you live the life you wish to live. By using the power of divine wisdom that all of us can tap in to through affirmations, you can truly heal your body and life. The Heal Your Life workshops that Louise L. Hay has designed help you do this systematic overhauling of your thought patterns with great ease.

What if you have not had an opportunity to attend a Love Yourself, Heal Your Life workshop with the Rainbow Lightworkers as yet? You can still take a few simple steps to put yourself on the right path to self transformation. Here we discuss simple yet powerful tools that you can employ to change the way you think. As Louise often says, our thoughts create our future. So by changing our thoughts we will be able to change our future. In order to do this the first thing we need to be aware of is the thoughts we think subconsciously.

Become Aware of Your Self-Talk

There are certain things that you tell yourself in your mind which you are unaware of. For instance you see an extreme sporting event such as bungee jumping and your mind tells you, “I could never do this, it’s too dangerous.” You look at a particularly bold lipstick colour and think, “This would never suit me, I’m not fair enough.” Perhaps you want to ask your boss for a raise but then your mind says, “What if he decides I’m not worth what he’s paying me now? I might lose my job.”

These kinds of limiting thoughts originate from a negative thought pattern that has been drilled into you since childhood. They do not reflect your actual ability to act, but rather a perception of your parents or teachers on your potential. You have got so used to the limits that they imposed on you that you never think to question them. Now write down your own self-talk for 7 to 10 days. Each time a thought comes to your mind, juts write it down without being judgmental. This record will show you what the deeper problem to address is.

Switch to Positive Self-Talk

Your self-confidence, self-esteem and self-image all have their root in your self-talk. If you can change your self-talk from limiting thoughts to encouraging ones, you will notice a substantial difference in all aspects of your life. For each of the limiting thoughts that you recorded over the last few days write a positive and encouraging replacement.

So for “I could never do this, it’s too dangerous.”
You could tell yourself, “I should try this once. They have a great safety record.”
For “This would never suit me, I’m not fair enough.”
You may think, “Let me get a small sample. I can always give it away if I don’t like it.”
Then for “What if he decides I’m not worth what he’s paying me now? I might lose my job.”
You should think, “I do a good job and am a valuable employee. It is in my boss’s interest to look after me by paying me what I deserve.”

Fall Back on Affirmations

If you are not sure how to replace your individual self-talk sentences, pick a single positive statement that you can fall back on when you find yourself thinking a negative or limiting thought. Here is a good one from Louise Hay “I am perfect, whole, and complete, just as I am.”

Heal Your Relationships to Heal Your Life

If the thought of a person bothers you, your relationship with that person is in need of healing. Depending on the intensity of your emotions, your sub conscious self is asking for intervention. It could be someone you meet every day, who irritates you no end. It may also be someone whom you have not spoken to in many years. The reasons for the rift are not important, what makes a difference is that you need to heal that relationship in order for your own self to be healed, peaceful and content.

How do you begin to heal your relationships?
Identify the triggers.

A simple exercise that you can do is to write down all the things you feel when you think about that person.  You should start each sentence with the words “I feel…” then go on to describe the various emotions you feel when that person says or does something.

For instance “I feel annoyed when you rearrange my books as per author, because I prefer to have them arranged as per genre.” Or “I feel irritated when you do not put the wet towel out to dry after your bath.” Or “I feel unloved when you criticize me in front of my friends.” Or “I feel exasperated when you ask for my opinion and then do the exact opposite of what I suggested.

There will be more than one emotion that bothers you and you should make a note of all of them. You can add more sentences later when they occur to you, so don’t worry if you don’t get them all in the first shot.

Move on to healing.
Start with forgiveness.

The mere fact that the relationship is tearing a hole in the fabric of your life means that you associate strong, negative emotions with this person. These emotions are what you need to deal with and release into a blanket of forgiveness.

Read each statement that you made in your list, and make an affirmation to release the negative emotions associated with the situation and the person. An affirmation is a positive statement that allows your emotions to be released and the situation to be healed. You can make a single sentence your affirmation or choose a collection of them that sound right to you.

For instance here is a combination of various affirmations found in Louise Hay’s book, “Heal Your Body” “I am creating room for lots of love in this relationship. I am free of all irritations and annoyances and feel calm and loving. I forgive myself and (insert the person’s name here) for the past. My mind is cleansed and free to move into the new improved reality of our relationship.”

You can create an affirmation of your own or use this one. Just make sure that you say this affirmation to yourself every single day a minimum of fifty times. Does that seem like too many times? It should not take you more than seven to ten minutes to do so. Surely you can spend that much time to work on healing your relationship? The choice to lead a better life is in your hands.
