Using the Law of Attraction to Improve Your Life

Are you one of those people who feel that the Law of Attraction is all bunkum? That you have tried your best to make it work and it never seems to actually do the miracles that you expect from it? Then you need to read this to make sure that you are using the Law of Attraction accurately. This simple guide will ensure that you can

List Your Issues, Problems and Complaints

My career is going nowhere! My Boss doesn’t even know how much I contribute to the team. My colleagues are impossible to work with.

I feel stuck in my relationship with my spouse. We don’t seem to connect anymore. The honeymoon period is long gone in this relationship.

No matter how hard I study, I never seem to get the marks I deserve. My teacher is out to get me, she will never let me score high in the tests. I just can’t study (Fill In the Subject).

No matter what stage of life we are in, no matter what age we are at, we are constantly using the Law of Attraction to manifest our outer world. Even if it is something we hate, we have manifested it because we have been focusing our attention on it.

Look for the Hidden Desires Buried in the Them

Now shift your focus. Think about the complaints you have listed in the first step. Do they really signal to deeper desires that you have? Do you want to be appreciated by your Boss at work? Do you want good colleagues to work with. Do you want a loving and demonstrative relationship with your spouse? Do you want to score really well on tests? Solidify the desire you have in every field that you can think of.

Make the Affirmations Even If They Seem Unbelievable

Do you feel strange saying the affirmation statements? Are they like something unbelievable at the moment? It’s okay. Even if you feel like laughing and being derogatory when you say the statements. Just make sure that you say these positive affirmations regularly. The energy shift will occur. Believe in that fact. This growth work is important for the energy shift to occur. Don’t give up saying your affirmations after a while because “nothing seems to be happening.” Trust me, there is plenty happening in the energy world that has not yet manifested in the real world.

Trust In Divine Timing

Don’t get disheartened when you don’t see instant results. The growth work is taking you through the stages of change that are required to break old pattern, to shift your consciousness and to make you a more powerful manifesting agent.  Know that when the time is right, what you have asked for or something even better is coming to you. Accept the fact that Source knows best and surrender your request. The Law of Attraction is infallible if you use it correctly.

Affirm – “I manifest my best life experiences in line with my life purpose easily and effortlessly”

Say Yes to the Journey of Self Love

You don’t just wake up one fine morning and decide that you love yourself and everything falls into place. It’s a process of removing old patterns, of getting rid of unhelpful blocks which eventually leads to a change in the quality of your life. Self Love is not a destination that you hit once you do all this, it is rather the journey you undertake while undergoing these processes.

Jump in with both feet

It is no use sitting on your ass and wondering what you need to do next. It is action that helps you begin the process of self love. Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are loved. Then move out and do something to prove it to yourself. Buy yourself a gift, pamper yourself, do something physical and tangible to prove that your love yourself. Don’t sit in judgment over what you are doing. Even if it is something silly like taking a painting class when your rational self is belittling you for wasting precious resources of time and money. Express your love for yourself freely. Let the journey be whatever it needs to be so that you can become what you are supposed to be.

Commit 100 percent

The path may not be clear. It may be meaninglessly meandering and have more bumps than you catered for. You may not be sure what decisions to take along the way and may feel frustrated. That does not make it any less real for your needs.  Once you have set off on the journey, understand that what is best suited for your growth is what you are going to face. Don’t get discouraged when you see others around you getting a better deal, or you feel that you are being short changed by life. Remember the Law of Attraction works the same for everyone. If they have something you wish for, you just need to manifest it for your own self.

Focus on processes rather than outcomes

While it is a good idea to have a broad goal to look forward to, it should not become the bane of your existence. Allow yourself to take the steps that you feel are best suited to meet that goal eventually. Place your attention on the process and the experiences that you have along the way. Just like how Lord Krishna told Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, perform the actions you are meant to and don’t think about the rewards to come. Stay on the path long enough and everything you want will eventually come to you. All you need to do is decide what action you are willing to take today, to make your dreams of tomorrow a reality.

Affirmation – I am a divine child of the universe. Everything I do and say is fantastic, beautiful and loving. I love and accept myself just the way I am. I am perfect.

I’m Not Ready Yet

Is that your excuse for not doing what you want to do? Let me tell you something, you are never ready for what you really, truly want to do. There will always be less money than you feel comfortable with, less time than what you need to prepare, and less support than what you would ideally like in your life. That should not stop you from reaching out with both hands for what you know you really want. Be it a career move, or a relationship crisis, no problem is solved if you take the stance – I’m not ready to confront this situation yet.

Finding Your Courage

Confidence is not something I lack in when it comes to doing things that I have rehearsed and perfected. However if I have to do something impromptu, I will most likely freeze and fall on my face, literally! The trick is to find your courage by picking up a routine that helps you to feel better prepared for the big change that you are trying to bring about. Pick your goal, then pick it apart. List the steps that you will need to complete to reach the ultimate plan. Are you trying to write a novel? Begin writing at least 500 words a day, it will surprise you how quickly you gain confidence in your ability to write.

Stepping Up to Do the Deed

There is a tendency to start out well and then just as things start rolling onto a bigger, better path to shut down. The fears that hold you in place are also natural. You know you are fated for something better but that will only come with the price of a distinct change. This means that you are not sure if you want to pay the price and shake up your old life to create the new one which you claim to say you want. A blueprint may be perfect but till the bricks and mortar take shape you really don’t get a feel of the actual building. Till you begin building, you will have no idea what you can achieve.

Finding Your Peace

It’s when you know that you are not yet ready completely, but that this opportunity will never come back that you finally take that leap. That leap of faith that puts your trust in your own talent, passion and skill. That allows you to think that no matter what gets thrown out at you, you will be able to handle it. When you finally manage to conquer that fear with your skill, that is when you will be rewarded with success and peace of mind. No one says it is an easy journey, and the toughest opponent you will face will be your own self doubt. Just keep on going and eventually you will find your peace.

Use these affirmations to keep your head in the game. Affirmations help keep you on track even as you invoke the Law of Attraction. “I am ready for my success now. I achieve the goals I set easily and effortlessly.

Spring Cleaning to De-clutter Your Life

As I was doing the seasonal closet cleansing from winter wear to summer wear, I got to thinking about the many things that I owned and hardly used. I told myself I was sure to need it the minute I threw it away and so simply packed and unpacked it each season. That triggered a thought of my behaviour patterns. Just how many reactions based in fear did I have nestling in my subconscious self? Did I have instincts in my shadow self that were not really serving my higher purpose? The answer was a resounding yes.

If you are true to yourself, you will admit that not everything that we keep cluttered up in our minds is truly healthy for us to have up there. We may be very particular about the physical cleanliness of the rooms in our home, but are we even cognizant of the dirt that is lodged between our ears? How do you know you need to clean up your act? The areas you inhabit regularly are a good reflection of your state of mind. Look at your room, your bed, your cupboard and your desk at work. Are they clutter free? Or do you need to do some spring cleaning?

Spring is the perfect season to start over. It is the right time to physically cleanse out the living spaces you regular inhabit, as well as mentally de- clutter the mind. It’s the perfect time to let go of resentment, envy, greed, jealousy, and even old grudges. Pay attention to what comes rushing to your mind the next time you try to stay thought free. The images, thoughts, and words that chase away your peace of mind are doing nothing but cluttering it up. Make a deliberate effort to let these go. It’s like clearing the cobwebs in your mind to get a clearer picture of what you really want out of life.

If your fear is that the minute you throw something out, you will need it; ask yourself if it is really irreplaceable? Can you get something new that would solve the problem even more effectively? More often than not, you are worried about releasing your anger at a person because you are using it as a shield. The thought of acting nice to that person makes you feel that you will be a glutton for punishment as the other person will then be able to harm you without your shield in place. Now think about the alternative, maybe if you showed them love, they would also react to you with love!

Stranger things have happened and it all boils down to your own powers of manifestation. Are you ready to heal your life and release all negative energies from it? If you are, start using your affirmations and the Law of Attraction is sure to serve you and help make all your positive statements the actual truths of your life. Use this beautifully simple but powerful affirmation from Louise Hay –“ I continuously clear the clutter in my life

Creating your own luck

Richard Wiseman is a Professor of the Public Understanding of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. He has the distinction of having investigated that most elusive quality that can change your lives – Luck! The gentleman has studied over 400 people over the period of a decade who considered themselves either really lucky or really unlucky to determine just how good fortune may be generated! Now wouldn’t it be easier to heal your life if you could generate good luck as and when you needed it, you say.

In one his experiments he gave the people a newspaper and asked them to count the number of images it had. Those with bad luck took about two minutes to count the photos, while those with good luck took just a few seconds. Why? The second page of the newspaper contained a half page message saying, “Stop counting and tell the experimenter there are 43 photographs in the newspaper.” The unlucky people missed this message despite it being well placed and easy to read. Wiseman then decided to see what made the people’s perceptions differ. Here’s what he identified was different about lucky people.

The Four Principles Professor Wiseman Identified

Apparently generating good luck to create better lives can be scaled down to these four principles.

1. Maximize Chance Opportunities:  The people who are lucky tend to create, notice and act upon chance opportunities on a regular basis. They network and adopt an easy attitude to life. They are always up to try out something new for the first time.

2. Listening to Lucky Hunches: Lucky people very often take steps based on what their gut tells them. They can make major decisions simply by paying attention to what their intuition tells them. What’s more they usually take steps to clear their mind or meditate to ensure that they enhance their intuitive capabilities.

3. Expect Good Fortune: This is a no brainer. They are almost always optimistic about the day and whatever activity they are undertaking. They shape their destinies by always expecting good things to come their way. Yes they are basically invoking the Law of Attraction to ensure their positive prophecies are self fulfilling.

4. Turn Bad Luck to Good: They have the “if life gave you lemons, make lemonade” attitude that always manages to see the good in any potentially disastrous situation. They are also less likely to brood over the past failures they have had. They will do a quick check and learn what they can from the incident before moving on, positive that the next time they are bound to do better.

The Luck School

Apparently the good Professor went on to develop techniques that helped unlucky people think, behave and react like lucky people. These techniques were used by the test group for a single month and then tested for efficacy though a series of experiments. What was amazing to see what that 80 percent of the people were happier, more satisfied and felt luckier than before. Some mentioned dramatic improvements in life fields that they had previously been struggling with. Others showed improved confidence and started seeing the positive side of things more easily.

Essentially when you think about it, it all comes down to exactly what Louise Hay has been telling us for years. Think positively, set intentions and go with the flow.

Affirm – “I create my own good luck.”
