I Can Do It

The simple fact of life is that you can do whatever you set your mind to. If it is possible for someone you admire or envy to achieve what you want, it is equally possible for you to achieve it. All it takes is getting over that part of you which craves the security of life as it knows it now. With success comes change and that is never easy to handle. Many hope to have their dreams fulfilled but still continue to live the present lives they lead. Not realizing how foolish that sentiment is, they hope for change without letting change come.

Allow Your Soul to Evolve

We are here on Earth to grow, to learn, to evolve. As spiritual beings we have chosen a corporeal form to speed up learning the lessons that will help evolve our soul to the next level. Yet time and again we forget our divine origins and begin to believe the lie that we are our bodies. Give yourself permission to think beyond what is socially acceptable. To learn lessons that you came down to Earth for and to make up for all the lost time you need to start now. Each day you wait is like a day you have wasted away. Nothing ever stays the same and you need to change along with it. Fulfill the life purpose your soul has chosen.

Take Care of Your Human

One of the main reasons why we are unable to fulfill the life purpose we have come down to Earth with is that we get distracted by the human form. There are the five senses giving us sensory overload of pleasures of the flesh. Who then has the time to indulge in quite fortitude and think about matters more spiritual? This is where the soul needs to guide the human form. Take care of the physical needs of the body, but don’t get so lost in the desires that you forget your original purpose. Eat healthy, exercise well and ensure that your human is able to support the cause of your soul.

Put Yourself in the Driver’s Seat

Distractions are a part and parcel of life on Earth. Some say they would achieve so much if they did not constantly have to care for others. This is just an excuse to pardon the distraction. Others feel that if they do not follow the ways of society they will not have money for their basic needs, so they must work and leave their life purpose alone. This is another distraction that you can do without. You need to put yourself in the driver’s seat and not let distractions like fear and anxiety lead you away from your life purpose. Don’t worry about things that may never happen, don’t plan for contingencies that are unlikely to come into play, instead focus on your passion.

When you stay true to the purpose of your life, your soul is happy and so are you. Affirm to yourself – “I live my life purpose with joy and abundance.

Standing in Your Full Power

The word power today brings many different meanings to mind. Some may think about the power of money, others about the power from controlling industries, and then there is also the not so savory power people may have over other people. For our purpose we are speaking of the power in a non dictatorial manner. A power that allows us to act in a manner that we see fit in a given situation. What then is this power?

The Power of Creation

In each of us there is power, to create, to experience and to live exactly how we wish to live. Some call this the Law of Attraction, others call it creating your destiny. Do you realize just how powerful you are? Every thought that you think is bringing the tomorrow that you designed closer to you. Do you even begin to understand that you are the one for whom the whole world is in existence? Or rather, it all stems from you, as you are the co creator of this world along with Spirit.

The Power to Accept Imperfection

When you understand that you have the power to create everything, you will also develop the power to accept things that are less than perfect. If we drive ourselves crazy by nit picking over tiny details on a regular basis, we will waste a lot of our energy on small and not as important things. When we learn that it is in our own hands to let it go, to accept that not everything must be just right, we own our power to accept imperfections and relax.

The Power to Live an Authentic Life

How often in life do we not want to do something like visit a relative, attend an event hosted by a friend, help out someone who you don’t particularly like? By forcing ourselves to do things that we do not enjoy, we are again giving away our power to people who make us feel guilty about not doing these things. By choosing to life a life honest to your own needs, you honour what is important to you. This is the power that allows you to lead a life based on your personal truth.

The Power to Believe and Allow

One of the worst things that you can do is give away your power to doubt and disbelief. The power to believe that what you want is coming to you, actually sustains life. The power to allow good things in to your life helps you maintain a steady flow of abundance. Don’t try to think about all the reasons why something can never happen, instead trust in the universe and allow it to do what is best for you. Surrendering your doubts and accepting that your rewards will come to you is a beautiful expression of this power.

Don’t give up your power by drifting into survival mode and disconnecting from Spirit. Try not to forget who you really are – a divine child of the universe. Don’t make excuses to avoid standing in your full power. Have faith that you can create a fun life for yourself where all your needs and wants are easily and effortlessly fulfilled.

Affirm to yourself – “I stand in my full divine power, easily and effortlessly.”

Connecting with Your Divine Spirit

Each of us is a combination of three main elements: Mind, Body and Spirit. The body we can see, the mind we can experience in our many thoughts and opinions, but the connection with Spirit is tentative at best and nonexistent at worst. The Universe, the Source, God, or Spirit, it doesn’t matter what you call it, can be a frightening concept to grasp. We have forgotten that we are a part of the whole, and inaccurately believe that we are different from what has created us.

The truth is that there is divinity in you and me. There is a spark of the Universe, Source, Spirit or God energies in each of us in existence. This is the philosophy of “Adwaita”, you and I are one. Our worldly wisdom gives us the mistaken believe that you and I are separate, but in truth enlightenment just brings this one shift in knowledge to show us that we truly are all a part of a single energy entity. This begs the question if everyone has God Spark, why is there so much misery in the world?

Soul Contracts and Life Purpose

Life is not exactly all sparkly things and magic dust for you at present because you choose it to be that way. If you are facing a crisis you have picked it out to experience even before you were born in this body on the planet. Before you enter this life your soul had made a contract with the Universe, Source or God Spark about what you need to experience and learn in this life time. You plotted out the life situations that would cause you to learn lessons that would help you complete your life purpose. Even your life purpose was fixed in the approximately two years of earth time that you spent with Spirit to define the entire unfolding of your life on earth.

Enter Free Will

So if everything is already fixed up between your Soul and Spirit does that mean all you have to do is show up and suffer through it all? Not really! When you take on the vibrations of a physical body on the planet you also gain a tool called “Free Will”. This is where you choice matters. You may encounter the life crisis that was previously discussed and then you have a choice to react to it in the way you like. The most optimum route would be to seek out the lesson and having learnt it, proceed towards your life purpose. However very often we miss that lesson and so Spirit needs to bring about another life crisis, and another till we finally take note of the lesson.

Once you learn your lesson and make the connection to your own Divine Spirit life becomes effortless. All that you need to do to achieve your life purpose begins to fall into your lap. If you need help someone offers to teach you how. Knowledge gaps that are missing get filled in by books gifted to you. Ideas that you never thought of implementing are presented to you. In short you come into the flow of the process of life and are easily able to fulfill your destiny as decided by your own Divine Spirit. Now isn’t that a place you would want to be?!

Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys

This Polish Proverb has been inspiring me to de-clutter my life. There is so much happening all around us every day that it is impossible to hold yourself aloof from it all. Whether you want to get involved or not, you will be made aware of a number of issues that are floating around. It could be issues with your spouse’s workplace, or something that’s happening at your child’s school, maybe your household help has problems, perhaps it is your colleague who s going through a trying life event,  or just a random neighbour having a bad day. If you have become a sounding board for the person experiencing these issues, you find yourself being dragged into things that have nothing to do with you.

They expect you to listen with a sympathetic ear and even solve the problems as though you are some magician who can wave a magic wand and solve the world’s problems. Then they make you feel guilty when you are unable to do just that impossible deed. The fact is, it is not something you need to get involved in, ever.  It does not make you a bad person if you choose not to try and solve the world’s problems. It does not make you a bad mother just because you choose to finish cooking before you help your child with their science fair project. It does not make you a terrible friend if you decide to put your needs before your friend’s need to talk about her latest issues. It is okay to do what you want to with your time. If you choose to lend someone a shoulder to cry on, that’s okay as well because you chose to do it.

No one has the right to bully or guilt you into doing something that they want. Do not think of yourself as helpless. You are the most powerful force of existence in your life. You decide every second of the day just what you are going to experience next. Borrowing trouble is not the way to a peaceful existence. Help if you want to, but not because you feel obligated to. There is no reward or punishment for pushing back your own needs and desires to help others. The world has been functioning just fine for a very long time before you were born, and will go on in the same manner even after you are no longer alive. All you get to do is live out the few short decades of your life in the best possible manner that suits yourself and your life purpose.

Each time you feel yourself being pulled into other people’s nonsense, just repeat to yourself “Not my circus, not my monkeys.” This will help you maintain focus on what you really need to be involved with and what situations you must avoid at all costs! Start living for yourself, not for the dramas playing out in the lives of people all around you. Live true to your life purpose, and acting as an umpire for others games is not what you are here to do!

What's Holding You Back?

Each of us is blessed by the same loving energy prevalent in the universe. Each of us is on this planet to live a fulfilling life. The idea of being here is gaining satisfaction by doing good to others and loving ourselves. There is no shortage of resources here, be it money, time, or opportunity, you have as much access to them as the next person. Then why are you stuck in a rut? Why does it seem that the harder you try, the less success you actually seem to touch? The answer is simple, you don’t trust the universe to support you. This lack of trust is characterized by three primary weapons of paralysis.

Doubt

While you have great plans to take off, there is always a niggling doubt at the back of your mind. This is the nagging voice that tells you that what you are hoping to achieve is not easy. It convinces you that no matter how hard you try the idea is not likely to succeed. This inner doubt makes you rethink everything that you would like to do and makes you decide that it would be a better idea not to do anything to upset the apple cart. It makes you settle for less than you should have.

Fear

The paralyzing thought of a possible failure can keep you from even thinking about taking action in a new direction. You fear the thought of things no working out so much that you simply decide not to move an inch from the place you are currently standing in life. Fear prevents you from living up to your full potential, simply based on a “what if” situation that may never even come to pass. The mere thought of a public failure fills you with so much anxiety that you don’t want to ever put yourself in that situation.

Anxiety

From a happy place where you thought up of a nice new idea, which you know would help you; you go to doubting that it would work. Then the doubts all culminate in the fear of failing spectacularly at this idea and cause you high levels of anxiety. This stress is literally manifested on a physical level on the body with an elevated heart rate, and shallow breathing. The anxiety you feel when you go through this negative spiral of emotions holds you back from living up to your full potential.

Now that you know what’s holding you back, how do you move past this and onwards in the march of living your life purpose?

Stopping these three demons from striking you down is easy. All you need to do is educate yourself. Doubts only arise from ignorance. When you know the truth about what you intend to do, are well researched on the subject , and suitably prepared to handle the project, you will no longer have quite so many crippling doubts.

This is not to say that you will instantly be free of fear and anxiety, no, but you will be better able to handle them. Use affirmations to keep yourself on the positive flow of your life path. Believe in the Law of Attraction and ensure that you are able to focus on what you truly desire.

Affirm to yourself – “Wonderful things happen to me as I fulfill my life’s purpose. ”
